SUNY Potsdam Student Choreographers Present Original Works

Works by 18 SUNY Potsdam student artists will be on display during the College's annual juried show, "Art Attack," opening Nov. 15 and showing through Dec. 8. A total of 46 works in all media were chosen for the show, and prizes will be awarded for the best pieces.

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music is preparing to host the world premiere of a groundbreaking new opera, "Mayo," by acclaimed composer Tom Cipullo. The Crane Opera Ensemble and Orchestra will unveil its full production of the Pellicciotti Prize-winning work in a series of performances and special events, from Nov. 8 to 11.

SUNY Potsdam Students Headed to Assist with Hurricane Recovery in Puerto Rico
Twenty-three SUNY Potsdam students and two faculty members are heading to Puerto Rico this summer, to aid in the island's reconstruction following the devastating damages wrought by Hurricane Maria. Two groups will travel to Puerto Rico this month, with each spending two weeks working with partner organizations on the ground to assist in reconstruction and revitalization efforts.

Eighty-four SUNY Potsdam student-athletes, including nine two-sport athletes, have earned a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference's Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes athletes with a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average for the entire 2017-18 academic year.

SUNY Potsdam's Department of Business Administration recently hosted its 50th Entrepreneurial Business Plan and Product Prototype Competition, which challenges students to develop an entrepreneurial concept to fulfill the needs of a specific group of consumers. This semester, a team of six dedicated students took home the trophy.

SUNY Potsdam student interns traveled to the 2018 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show in Anaheim, Calif., from Jan. 25 to Jan. 28.
