121 SUNY Potsdam student-athletes, including 18 two-sport athletes, have earned a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference's Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes athletes with a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade-point average for the entire 2019-20 academic year.

SUNY Potsdam Student Awarded the Father James Pennock Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to the outstanding junior history major based on the student's overall GPA, their GPA in history, and the department's knowledge of the student. The scholarship was established by the wife of the former priest of Potsdam's Trinity Episcopal Church and mayor of Potsdam.

SUNY Potsdam to Recognize Class of 2020 with Virtual Commencement Celebration
The State University of New York at Potsdam will recognize nearly 900 candidates for graduation with a special virtual Commencement celebration on Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m. The SUNY Potsdam Class of 2020 will be honored in an online ceremony and watch party on the traditional Commencement day, until the College is able to safely hold an in-person event honoring all of this year's bachelor's and master's graduates at a later date.

Crane School of Music Students Intern at the 2020 NAMM Show
SUNY Potsdam student interns traveled to the 2020 National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Show in Anaheim, Calif., from Jan. 16 to 19. Joined by faculty from The Crane School of Music, the students worked directly with leading music industry firms, through a unique internship program organized by the Crane Institute for Music Business.

SUNY Potsdam students with a passion and talent for Esports have banded together to establish their own campus club team, now competing in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The 38 students in the SUNY Potsdam Esports Club come from all majors and bring a variety of extracurricular and academic interests with them.

SUNY Potsdam Students Headed to Assist with Hurricane Recovery in Puerto Rico
Twenty-three SUNY Potsdam students and two faculty members are heading to Puerto Rico this summer, to aid in the island's reconstruction following the devastating damages wrought by Hurricane Maria. Two groups will travel to Puerto Rico this month, with each spending two weeks working with partner organizations on the ground to assist in reconstruction and revitalization efforts.
