SUNY Potsdam to Host State Vaccination Site

SUNY Potsdam Set to Host Appointment-Based State COVID-19 Vaccination Site

Potsdam, NY (01/13/2021) — The Governor's Office has announced that SUNY Potsdam is set to host a state vaccination site to protect New Yorkers against COVID-19. SUNY Potsdam has volunteered to host an appointment-based vaccination site, slated to open to eligible community members next week.

"Serving our community is at the heart of SUNY Potsdam's mission. We are proud to offer our facilities to assist our partners in public health and medicine, to help ensure that the North Country is protected against COVID-19. Opening our doors to ensure that all eligible residents are able to be immunized against the virus is the least we can do to support our community -- and is just another example of how we have collectively come together throughout this pandemic. Many thanks to all of the healthcare heroes and first responders who have already been vaccinated, and are now helping to protect the next groups of eligible individuals by spreading the word and assisting others to follow their lead," said SUNY Potsdam President Kristin G. Esterberg.

SUNY Potsdam will host the site in the Maxcy Hall Fieldhouse, located in the College's Athletic Complex. More information on the vaccination site will be forthcoming in the coming days.
