SUNY Potsdam's Gibson Gallery Hosts County Regional High School Art Show

St. Lawrence County Regional High School Art Show Now on Display at SUNY Potsdam's Gibson Gallery

Potsdam, NY (06/06/2025) — Works by young artists from 11 area districts are currently on display in SUNY Potsdam's Gibson Gallery, through the 2025 St. Lawrence County Regional High School Art Show.

The free show includes more than 90 artworks by students from participating districts, including Canton, Clifton-Fine, Colton-Pierrepont, Gouverneur, Heuvelton, Lisbon, Massena, Norwood-Norfolk, Ogdensburg Free Academy, Parishville-Hopkinton and Potsdam high schools.

The juror for this show is SUNY Potsdam alumna Roxanne Locy '81, a long-time educator and career artist, who spent 30 years teaching at the secondary level and five years at the college level. Locy is the proprietor of Rockhead Creations studio in Canton, where she creates her signature bold and whimsical pottery. She is a TAUNY Folkstore Artist.

The St. Lawrence County Regional High School Art Show will be on display in the Gibson Gallery through Friday, June 13. The gallery hours are Monday through Friday, from 3 to 6 p.m. Admission to the Gibson Gallery, located at Brainerd Hall, is free, and the exhibition space is handicapped-accessible.

Ogdensburg High School student Abdulghani Nasiah’s work, titled “Green,” is on display at the County Regional High School Art Show at the Gibson Gallery.

Jeremiah Knepp’s ceramic piece, “Jaded Dragon,” is on display at the St. Lawrence County Regional High School Art Show in SUNY Potsdam’s Gibson Gallery. Knepp is a student at Massena High School.
