Katie Logan of Madrid, N.Y., Granted Honorary Lifetime Membership in the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association
Potsdam, NY (07/16/2024) — The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored the longtime staff member Katie Logan of Madrid, N.Y., with Honorary Lifetime Membership, during a ceremony at Reunion 2024.
Honorary Lifetime Membership is presented to non-alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and/or the College.
About the recipient:
Katie Logan is a familiar face to anyone who attends the annual Reunion celebration at SUNY Potsdam. She tirelessly works during these action-packed days, staffing tables, driving golf carts and assisting in a myriad of other duties. She is also one of the key people behind the scenes involved in the administrative functions that this massive event requires.
Beyond her day-to-day professional duties, Logan generously gives her time in supporting many campus activities. She has taken on much of the day-to-day work required in maintaining the Prometheus Alumni Food Pantry and is recognized as a key player in the success of this program, which immensely benefits our students. She also involved her son, Caleb, when he was a student at the College, in this volunteer work so he could also learn the benefits of serving his community.
In her role in the Office of College Advancement, Logan is often the person answering the phone when alumni and donors call into the campus. Her kind and professional manner is of immense benefit and helps instill confidence and pride in the college.
Logan is also responsible for the complex task of coordinating travel for the development and alumni teams, which also includes senior College officials when traveling with the Advancement staff. She is uniformly praised by the people she supports, for her thoroughness and attention to detail.
"Our team, quite literally, would not be able to do our work if she wasn't so capable and proficient at her job," said Senior Director of Advancement Sherry Paradis '00.
