SUNY Potsdam Class Hosts Raising Acceptance Rally for People Living with Disability
Students Organize Rally to Support People with Disabilities and Their Families on Nov. 28
Potsdam, NY (11/26/2018) — SUNY Potsdam students have organized a Raising Acceptance Rally, to show support for people living with all forms of disability, and increase awareness of the challenges that they face.
Students in the "Basic Principles of Speech" class invite anyone with physical, intellectual or emotional disabilities to join in the event, along with family members and friends. All are welcome to share their stories, and build community.
The rally will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 5 to 8 p.m., in the Barrington Student Union Multi-Purpose Room. There will be a children's room, and walking spaces will also be made available for those in need of a quiet place.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided at this free event.
