Potsdam, NY (10/25/2021) — SUNY Potsdam is soliciting talk proposals for its third annual TEDx Spring 2022 event. This year's theme is "A Time to Innovate," and will focus on how departments and industries on campus are using innovative ideas and practices to address the needs of our challenging time.

Open to SUNY Potsdam faculty, staff, students and alumni, the topic is purposely broad to offer considerations from a variety of subject areas, including science, technology, mathematics, the humanities, the arts and more.

Presentation proposals may be up to 18 minutes long, connecting to the speaker's area of interest, and contain '"Ideas Worth Spreading," a guiding principle of TED. Applications are due by a submission form via the TEDx website by Friday, Oct. 29. All applicants need to be available for a "Pitch your Proposal" event on Friday, Nov. 19, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Further information and the application form can be found on the TEDxSUNYPotsdam website at http://www.tedxsunypotsdam.com.

"A Time to Innovate" will take place this year in March 2022 at the Performing Arts Center on campus. The event is being hosted by the Arts Management Program at SUNY Potsdam. TEDxSUNYPotsdam aims to serve the college and community of SUNY Potsdam by celebrating and furthering the innovative ideas and practices of its diverse campus with this forum for public discourse.
