Sixth Annual Bears Roaring On Campaign for Potsdam Athletics Runs Through Oct. 12
SUNY Potsdam Athletics Announces Bears Roaring On Campaign for 2026
Potsdam, NY (10/09/2026) — SUNY Potsdam Athletics began its sixth annual Bears Roaring On campaign on Oct. 5. Fans, friends, family and alumni have a chance to give to Potsdam student athletes through Oct. 12.
Last year, the Potsdam community rallied around the Bears in a big way. More than $107,000 was committed during the 2025-26 Bears Roaring On campaign, far surpassing the campaign's $55,000 goal. This year, Bears Roaring On is starting with a more ambitious goal: $85,000.
The President's Bonus is back, which means gifts during campaign week can bring even more to the Bears. When Bears Roaring On reaches key fundraising milestones, President Suzanne Smith will add bonus funding for Athletics.
Bears Roaring On gives teams the ability to make purchases that directly enhance the student athlete experience. Coaches have identified priorities ranging from warm up jerseys, uniforms and travel gear to training equipment, technology and larger equipment purchases. Gifts of all sizes come together to help make those priorities possible.
Past contributions have helped teams upgrade equipment and uniforms, add data analysis and video editing software, and provide higher quality meals for athletes during travel. Gifts to Athletics, the Fitness Center and Intramural Sports and Recreation have also enhanced campus facilities, upgraded training equipment and expanded recreational opportunities.
As in previous campaigns, donors can give directly to the College's 19 Division III varsity teams or make a broader impact through general funds.
To contribute, follow the team leaderboards and see what's at stake with this year's President's Bonus, visit www.potsdam.edu/bro2627 from Monday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 12, 2026.
