Potsdam Community Chorus to Let 'Voices Be Heard' in Upcoming Concert

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Hosts Potsdam Community Chorus Concert on Nov. 18

Potsdam, NY (11/09/2018) — The Potsdam Community Chorus will present its fall concert, titled "Voices Be Heard: Songs for Social Consciousness," on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m., in the Helen M. Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.

Director and conductor Andrea Maas will lead the 100-voice mixed chorus, in a program featuring music selected by the singers themselves. The repertoire spans a period of over 100 years, from classical and traditional folk tunes, to pop and musical theatre, to help us make meaning of our world through song. Lauren Behan is the student director for the chorus this semester.

The Potsdam Community Chorus is comprised of students, faculty and local community members from Potsdam and the surrounding area, who gather on Monday evenings to make music and create meaning through song. Singers of all backgrounds and experience are welcome to sing in this non-auditioned choir.

This concert is free, and the public is invited to attend.
