Crane School of Music Presents National String Project Concert on May 16

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Hosts Concert Featuring the National String Project on May 16

Potsdam, NY (05/08/2018) — SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music invites the public to enjoy a concert featuring the National String Project, on Wednesday, May 16 at 5 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater.

The performance will include works by members of the National String Project instrumental ensembles. Music featuring bowed strings and harp will be showcased in this concert, including the Dolce Ensemble, Harp Ensemble, Presto Ensemble, Allegro Orchestra and Vivace Orchestra.

This event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

Now in its 17th year, the mission of the National String Project at The Crane School of Music is to expand string education opportunities in the North Country, while providing teaching experiences for university students at Crane. The project is part of a national consortium founded in collaboration with the American String Teachers Association, now serving 43 communities around the nation.
