Crane Opera Ensemble Presents Original Jukebox Musical, 'Les Mis(ish),' from March 22 to 24

SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music Presents New Jukebox Musical, 'Les Mis(ish),' Performed by Crane Opera Ensemble

Potsdam, NY (03/18/2024) — The award-winning Crane Opera Ensemble from SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will present "Les Mis(ish)," an original jukebox musical featuring showtunes from more than 100 years' worth of musical theatre.

The production will debut with evening performances at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, with a final matinee on Sunday, March 24 at 3 p.m. All performances will take place in the Proscenium Theater, located in the Performing Arts Center.

Set backstage at a "Les Miserables" performance, the drama of "Les Mis(ish)" explores themes of identity, perseverance and more. This family-friendly production has something for everyone. From Gilbert and Sullivan tunes, to shows currently on Broadway, the variety is sure to keep audience members' toes tapping, as you join in the backstage drama.

The performance runs approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, with no intermission. Admission is free, and no tickets are required. All are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes before the curtain goes up, as seating is first come, first served.

The award-winning Crane Opera Ensemble is a significant source for opera and music theatre in the North Country region of New York State.
