SUNY Potsdam Inducts Brenna Snyder into Order of Omega Greek Life Honor Society

2014 Nov 7

Ten accomplished SUNY Potsdam fraternity and sorority members were inducted into the Chi Psi chapter of the Order of Omega National Honor Society on Oct. 26. The Order of Omega is the national leadership honor society for members of Greek organizations, recognizing men and women who set a higher standard for Greek Life.

The inductees included Brenna Snyder of Bloomingdale, NY, who is a sister of Phi Kappa Pi.

SUNY Potsdam's Chi Psi chapter of the Order of Omega was chartered in 2012. In order to be inducted into the honor society, students must be a junior and a member of an All Greek Council-recognized chapter for at least one semester, and have achieved a cumulative grade point average at or above the overall all-Greek average GPA.

The Order of Omega was founded in 1958 at the University of Miami, and now has more than 300 chapters across the United States.

Greek Life at SUNY Potsdam is based upon four common values: friendship, scholarship, community service and leadership. Each fraternity and sorority at Potsdam shares these core values and special traditions that make each chapter unique. For more information, visit http://www.potsdam.edu/studentlife/greeklife.
