Crane Opera Ensemble Names Xenia Cumento to Cast and Crew for 'Angelic' Productions

2014 Mar 26

The Crane Opera Ensemble will present a pair of "angelic" one-act operas this spring, with performances on Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music. The award-winning Crane Opera Ensemble will perform the tragic yet lyric "Suor Angelica," with music by Giacomo Puccini, followed by the satirical and off-beat "Angelique" by Jacques Ibert.

The cast and crew includes Xenia Cumento of Haverstraw, NY, who plays Sister Osmina in "Suor Angelica" and a Nosey Neighbor in "Angelique".

The Crane Opera Ensemble has twice been named the first place winner of the American Prize in Operatic Performance, and has placed second in the National Opera Association's Collegiate Production Competition. For more information, visit http://www.potsdam.edu/academics/Crane/opera.
