SUNY Potsdam Names John and Mia Wicke Honorary Alumni
John and Mia Wicke of Massena, N.Y., Granted Honorary Lifetime Membership in the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association
Potsdam, NY (07/13/2026) — The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored John and Mia Wicke of Massena, N.Y., with Honorary Lifetime Membership, during a ceremony at Reunion 2026.
Honorary Lifetime Membership is presented to non-alumni who have made exceptional contributions to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and/or the College. The Wickes were honored for their unwavering dedication to SUNY Potsdam, and their continued support and investment in the future and success of the campus.

John and Mia Wicke have long been cherished members of the SUNY Potsdam family, embodying the spirit, pride and generosity that define the campus. Mia, the daughter of the late beloved and honored Professor Emeritus Dr. Frank Revetta (Hon. '05), has been part of the Potsdam community her entire life. Growing up immersed in the College's culture, she developed a deep and lasting connection to campus that is evident in every interaction. A regular and welcoming presence, Mia's radiant smile and genuine warmth make others feel like lifelong friends in a matter of minutes. Her affection for the College is ever-present, and her Potsdam pride is unmistakable. Everything about her outward commitment suggests someone who has always carried SUNY Potsdam in her heart.
John's dedication to the College has been equally profound. A respected community leader and trusted voice throughout the North Country region, he first served SUNY Potsdam as a member of the College Council, where he provided thoughtful leadership and steady guidance. His service demonstrated not only his commitment to the institution's mission, but also his belief in its future. After joining the College Advancement team, John continued to deepen his impact. As development officer and director of strategic alliances, he has achieved tremendous success in engaging and cultivating meaningful relationships that have moved Potsdam forward in significant and lasting ways. His work reflects a sincere desire to invite others into the College's story and to help secure its continued growth and success.
Together, John and Mia exemplify the College's highest values. Their love, pride and passion for Potsdam are always on display.
